On February 26, 2009, members of the congregation of the historic Alfred Street Baptist Church (ASBC), Alexandria, VA, celebrated their first anniversary of electing Rev. Dr. Howard-John Wesley as its pastor. He was installed as the 8th pastor of Alfred Street on Sunday, September 28, 2008.
